In view of the recent development of the Novel Coronavirus and the Government’s latest announcement, THEi will further suspend face-to-face classes (including the practical and laboratory sessions) and close both campuses (including but not limited to all 24-hour studios, computer laboratories and student common rooms) until 1 March 2020. Classes are expected to resume on 2 March 2020.
Online learning mode has been activated and students can access learning materials via Moodle. In addition, the Module add-drop period will be further extended, and the arrangement of Supplementary exams will be announced separately.
Non-local students can choose to remain in their cities to continue their online studies and plan for the return to Hong Kong when the situation allows. Should students encounter any learning difficulties including the access to Moodle, please approach your Programme Leader/Module Convener/Year tutor for support.
The health and safety of students is of utmost importance. THEi has strengthened preventive measures after the class resumption on 2 March 2020, as follows:-
· all students and staff should wear a surgical mask at all times for study or work at campuses
· compulsory temperature checks on all students and staff will be conducted prior to their entering of campuses
· all students and staff who have returned from Mainland should complete the Health Declaration form and return to their respective Faculties/Units the day before they return to campus.
On the other hand, to reduce the risk of the spread of novel coronavirus in the community, please also pay attention to the latest health advice from the Centre for Health Protection of the Department of Health at its official website (https://www.chp.gov.hk/en/).
We will closely monitor the situation and provide updates on relevant arrangements via emails as soon as practicable.
