Prof Simon WONG is a success local businessman. As the Chairman of the Kampery Group, Prof Simon WONG possesses a comprehensive understanding of business management. The Kampery Group’s operations span various sectors including food and beverage manufacturing, retailing, wholesaling, importing and exporting, as well as hospitality and tourism. The Group is based in Hong Kong, but has subsidiaries in major cities in China, North America and Europe. The Group is currently trading with more than 35 countries.<\/p>

Prof Simon WONG establishes GreenDotDot Group in 1999. Products include health and organic food in retail, wholesale and E-Commerce. GreenDotDot has become the largest organic retailer in Hong Kong market.<\/p>

Prof Simon WONG has made great efforts in enhancing the industry status, particularly in advising the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region in food safety matters, and bringing in innovative elements, including new technologies for productivity enhancement. He is an advocate of green and sustainable practices in the catering and business sectors, and is a frequent speaker on the topic.<\/p>

In 2003, during SARS, he organised the PunChoi Megafest to promote local produce. The event was attended by 10,000 citizens dining at Kai Tak Airport which at that time had set a record for such occasion. In 2009, He created the KamCha – Hong Kong Milk Tea Competition to promote this unique HK beverage. The Competition has become an international event which is highly recognised by the Government and the industry. In 2014, he has successfully applied for listing HK MILK TEA as a Hong Kong Intangible Cultural Heritage. This has not only helped to promote the image of the Hong Kong F&B industry, but indirectly promote Hong Kong as a \u201cBRAND\u201d internationally.<\/p>

Prof Simon WONG is a member of the 11th Chinese People\u2019s Political Consultative Conference of Heilongjiang Province, member of the Election Committee of HKSAR Chief Executive, Vice President of Chinese Manufacturer\u2019s Association, Chairman of Brand Development Council, President of HK Federation of Restaurants and Related Trades, Chairman of Chamber of Food and Beverage Industry of HK, Chairman of Association of Coffee and Tea of HK, Chairman of Association of Green and Organic @Living, Deputy Chairman of HK Quality Assurance Agency.<\/p>

He is also a trustee of The University of Minnesota Foundation, Chairman of Yee Hong Wellness Foundation of HK, Vice Patron of Community Chest of HK, etc.<\/p>

Prof Simon WONG is a member of the HKSAR Tourism Strategy Group, and the Convenor of FoodSmart Partnership Programme to promote food waste treatment. He has served as members of Advisory Council on Environment, Occupation Safety and Healthy Council, Agriculture Fisheries and Conservation Department, Centre for Food Safety Expert Committee, Liquor Licensing Board, China Business Committee of HKTDC, etc.<\/p>

Prof Simon WONG has won numerous awards and recognitions for his contribution in the industries and his involvement in the community.<\/p>
