Responsibilities include conducting literature reviews; assisting in the design, integration, testing, and evaluation of robotic and embedded systems, and developing and testing AI-based modules for perception, localisation, mapping, and decision support. The role also involves integrating sensors, microcontrollers\/embedded platforms, cameras, and data-acquisition devices; organising, pre-processing, and analysing experimental data; deploying and evaluating AI models on embedded or edge-computing platforms; maintaining technical documentation; and assisting with research reports, presentations, demonstrations, and publications.<\/p><p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><strong>Requirements:<\/strong><\/span><\/p><p>Applicants may be considered for the positions of Research Assistant I (RA I) or Research Assistant II (RA II), depending on their qualifications and experience. For both positions, applicants are required to have hands-on experience in embedded systems development, data processing, and strong programming skills (such as Python, C, or C++). Familiarity with embedded AI, robotics, or intelligent sensing applications is essential, including experience with YOLO-based object detection, SLAM, sensor interfacing, and real-time data acquisition. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in artificial intelligence or machine learning, embedded deployment, time-series analysis, or sensor data analytics.
