Employment Period: <\/strong>6 months<\/strong> (with the possibility of renewal)<\/strong><\/p>

Major Duties:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>

The appointee will assist the Principal Investigator (PI) in the development and coordination of research activities and daily operations in relation to the research project \u201cFused Filament Manufacturing of 3D Printed Poly (3-hydroxybutyrate-co-3-hydroxyvalerate) and Polylactic Acid Composite Structures for Footwear Applications: A New Approach to the Efficient Production of Insole Material\u201d.<\/p>

He\/she will be required to:<\/p>

a) carry out research activities, such as material analysis, filament fabrication and 3D printing;
b) arrange reimbursement for expenditures incurred under the research project; and
c) assist in writing reports, analysing results of research studies, and drafting manuscripts and presentation materials for publication.

Requirements<\/span>:<\/strong><\/p>

For the post of Research Assistant I, applicants should have a recognised Master\u2019s degree in Chemical Science, Environmental Engineering, Materials Science, Textile Technology or a relevant discipline; or a recognised degree in a related discipline with relevant work experience; or equivalent.<\/p>

For the post of Research Assistant II, applicants should have a recognised sub-degree, preferably a recognised degree, in Chemical Science, Environmental Engineering, Materials Science, Textile Technology, or a relevant discipline, or equivalent.<\/p>

He\/she should have background knowledge and skills in the analysis of poly (3-hydroxybutyrate-co-3-hydroxyvalerate) and polylactic acid. \u00a0Preference will be given to candidates with a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese.<\/p>

Notes<\/strong><\/span>:<\/strong><\/p>

(1) The appointee may be appointed on a temporary or part-time employment.
<\/em>(2) The appointee may be required to perform duties at different locations and to work irregular hours, shifts, and on Saturdays and Sundays, as necessary.
