Major Duties:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>

The appointee will oversee the day-to-day management of the Spring Training Restaurant while actively contributing to the delivery of academic programmes offered by the Department of Hospitality and Business Management (DHBM).\u00a0 The appointee shall report to the Programme Leader and the Head of Department.\u00a0 The appointee shall be responsible for the following duties:<\/p>

(a) Overseeing all aspects of restaurant operations, including catering services, logistics, and club management, to ensure the achievement of established objectives and performance targets;
(b) Facilitating teaching and training activities within the training restaurant, delivering restaurant and service-related courses, and providing training and supervision to both staff and students;
(c) Ensuring full compliance with all relevant licensing, health, safety, and environmental legislation and guidelines, as well as adherence to Institute policies relating to the management of cash, assets, products, and equipment; and
(d) Maintaining exceptional customer service standards and fostering a professional environment that supports teaching and learning.<\/p>

Requirements:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>

The successful candidate should have:
(a) A recognised Bachelor\u2019s degree in Hospitality Management, Food Service Management, Culinary Arts, or a related discipline, together with relevant teaching and\/or industry experience;
(b) Demonstrated management or supervisory experience in the restaurant industry, with a proven ability to maintain and implement Food and Beverage (F&B) brand standards;
(c) A solid command of F&B revenue management principles, coupled with comprehensive knowledge of food and beverage service, wine and spirits, and restaurant operations.\u00a0 Proficiency in Point-of-Sale (POS) systems, table-management, and purchasing software is essential;
(d) Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher;
(e) Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership capabilities, with the ability to inspire and guide both staff and students;
(f) A genuine passion for delivering outstanding customer service and a strong commitment to student development and mentorship.\u00a0 Previous teaching experience is an advantage;
(g) The ability to be dependable, flexible, and effective under pressure;
(h) A good command of spoken and written English and Chinese; proficiency in Putonghua will be an advantage; and
(i) A recognised Hygiene or Food Safety certificate will be considered an advantage.<\/p>

Notes:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>

(1) The post is at the rank of \u201cInstructor\u201d.
(2) The appointee may be required to perform duties at different locations and outside Hong Kong, and to work irregular hours, shifts, and weekends, as necessary.
(3) The remuneration package will be competitive and commensurate with the appointee\u2019s qualifications and experience.
