Prof CHEUNG served in the Government for over 37 years. He led the Buildings Department in providing services on both existing and new private buildings through enforcement of the Buildings Ordinance, with the aim of promoting building safety; setting and enforcing safety, health and environmental standards for private buildings; and improving the quality of building development. In 2019, Prof CHEUNG was awarded the Silver Bauhinia Star in recognition of his dedicated and meritorious service to the Government, particularly in promoting building safety and a sustainable built environment in Hong Kong. <\/p>\n

Prof CHEUNG is now the Chairman of the Hong Kong Green Building Council, he continues his drive for sustainability in the built environment by working with different disciplines of building professions and environment experts to pursue every avenue for a greener Hong Kong.<\/p>\n

Prof CHEUNG is currently an Adjunct Professor in the Faculty of Design and Environment at the Technological and Higher Education Institute of Hong Kong (since 2020). <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
