In the 2025 round of funding exercise for the Research Grants Council (RGC) funding exercise for the Competitive Research Funding Schemes for the Local Self-financing Degree Sector, THEi was awarded five Faculty Development Scheme (FDS) grants, amounting to a total of HK$4.51 million. \u00a0In this round, no Institutional Development Scheme Research Infrastructure Grant (IDS(R)) or IDS Collaborative Research Grant (IDS(C)) was awarded by the RGC.<\/p>

This year, the RGC received 416 FDS applications from institutions across the local self-financing degree sector. \u00a0THEi achieved a commendable success rate of 31% for FDS applications, compared to 28% for the sector. \u00a0This achievement is a strong reflection of the high-quality and competitiveness of our research proposals.<\/p>

We would like to take this opportunity to congratulate the successful project teams for their outstanding efforts and commitment.<\/p>
