Student Activities
- EEM Class of 2019 joined the Job Shadowing organized by the Hong Kong Institute of Engineers Environmental Division before their graduation. The host company, ATAL Engineering Group, invited our students to visit their design-build-operate (DBO) project of Tuen Mun’s Pillar Points sewage plants which is the first DBO contract in Hong Kong.
- A group of year 4 EEM students attended a Technical Visit to DSD Happy Valley Underground Stormwater Storage Scheme.
Graduate Prospect
- Chun Wo Construction Holdings Company Limited is one of the leading construction companies to sign Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with THEi. The MoU is aimed to establish a close collaboration to promote professional development in Environmental Engineering and related fields to THEi’s students. A number of THEi graduates are working with Chun Wo in various infrastructure projects.
- Tunnel Boring Machine Launch and Naming Ceremony at Liantang - Heung Yuen Wai Boundary Control Point. Joshua TAM (Class of 2017) joined Dragages Hong Kong Limited and is delighted to participate this mega infrastructure project after graduation from THEi.
- Krystal CHUI (Class of 2017) selects her postgraduate study at Czech University of Life Sciences Prague.
Internship Opportunities
- Working as interns in Theo Environmental Technology Ltd. in Summer 2019, Katrina CHUI and Summer LAI are proud to present the latest photovoltaic solar panel before installing on roof of a village house.
- Anthony TSIEH (1st from the left), Charlie CHOW (3rd from the left) and Jade LEE (6th from the left) joined a 3-month internship program at Environmental Academy of Environmental Protection Department in Summer 2019. They are all in their year 4 study in 2019-2020.
- Greeners Action, a non-profit environmental organization, has offered internship opportunities to THEi EEM students for few years. In summer 2019, our students participated their projects on waste reduction and recycling works

*Under the Non-means-tested Subsidy Scheme for Self-financing Undergraduate Studies in Hong Kong (NMTSS), an annual subsidy up to HK$33,100 will be provided to Hong Kong students who have attained:
(a) “3322” in HKDSE when they are enrolled in eligible self-financing first-year-first-degree programmes; or
(b) relevant sub-degree qualifications when they are enrolled in eligible self-financing top-up degree programmes.
