Entry Requirements for Malaysian Applicants

Minimum Entry Requirements

Applicants are eligible to apply for admission if they possess the following or equivalent qualifications:-

 

- Malaysia Higher School Certificate (STPM (Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia))#

- Matriculation Certificate (Matrikulasi)#

- Unified Examination Certificate, Senior Middle Level (UEC)#

- Other Qualifications

- Language Requirements

  • Malaysia Higher School Certificate (STPM (Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia))#
  • Grade D in STPM in Mathematics;
  • Grade D in STPM in other TWO subjects;
  • Grade C in STPM in Chinese, or in ONE subject which should be different from the above subjects; and
  • Grade C in STPM in English, or Any one of the English language requirements listed in the table below

 

  • Matriculation Certificate (Matrikulasi)#
  • GPA 2.00 / C in Matrikulasi in Mathematics;
  • GPA 2.00 / C in Matrikulasi in other TWO subjects;
  • GPA 2.00 / C in Matrikulasi in Chinese, or in ONE subject which should be different from the above subjects; and
  • GPA 2.00 / C in Matrikulasi in English, or Any one of the English language requirements listed in the table below
  •  
  •  Unified Examination Certificate, Senior Middle Level (UEC)#
  • Grade C8 in UEC in Mathematics;
  • Grade C8 in UEC in other TWO subjects;
  • Grade B6 in UEC in Chinese, or in ONE subject which should be different from the above subjects; and
  • Grade B6 in UEC in English, or Any one of the English language requirements listed in the table below
  • Other Qualifications
  • Holder of International Baccalaureate (IB) diploma with Grade 4 or 5 in IB English subjects (Higher or Standard Level);
  • Holder of Business and Technology Education Council (BTEC) Level 3 Diploma of “MM” Grades or a BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma of “MPP” Grade*; and Grade C / Grade 4 or above in IGCSE English Language or English as a Second Language.; or
  • Other equivalent academic qualifications (subject to the individual assessment by the Faculties)

International English Language Testing System

An overall score of  6.0

Grade  C / Grade 4

GCE A-level  /  GCE AS-level  English Language

Grade  E

International Baccalaureate ( IB ) English Language

English Language results of overseas examinations recognised by VTC

Notes:
The TOEFL or IELTS results submitted must be within a 2-year period from the date of the test or examination to the date of commencement of study.
