Major Duties:
For post (1):
The appointee will report to the Principal Investigator (PI) and support the PI in conducting research to assess the economic viability of solar PV systems and to perform sensitivity analysis to understand the impact of cost drivers and identify potential areas for cost reductions. The appointee will assist in collecting, organising, and systematically manage research and project materials, ensuring proper archiving and accessibility; and will also be required to coordinate with multiple functional teams (finance, industry) to align project objectives and ensure seamless delivery. The appointee will also assist in the implementation of research projects, including coordinating workflows and resolving operational challenges.
For post (2):
The appointee will report to the Principal Investigator (PI) and support the PI in conducting research to develop a techno-economic framework for the multi-stage wastewater treatment process of the proton exchange membrane (PEM) fuel cell bipolar plate etching process using SuperPro Designer as the core modeling tool. The appointee will assist with data analysis using Python and SQL; and will also be required to be responsible for process modeling and simulation. The appointee will also assist in the implementation of research projects, including the preparation of meeting minutes, research briefs, and project reports.
Requirements:
For post (1):
Applicants should have a recognised sub-degree in environmental economics, finance, project management or a related discipline; preferably a recognised Bachelor’s degree.
For post (2):
Applicants should have a recognised sub-degree in data science, engineering, computer science or a related discipline; preferably a recognised Bachelor’s degree.
For two posts above, applicants should have research experience in environmental economic research and/or data science. They should also have good interpersonal and social skills, as well as proficient communication skills in English and Chinese, preferably including Putonghua.
Notes:
(1) The appointee may be required to perform duties at different sites and work irregular hours, shifts and on Saturdays and Sundays as necessary.
(2) The remuneration package will be competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
(3) The appointee will work at the Tsing Yi Campus.
