Major Duties:
The appointee will report directly to the Principal Investigator (PI) and support research focused on the fabrication of battery components, including coin cell and pouch cell assembly. Responsibilities include conducting literature reviews, synthesizing novel organic materials, incorporating them into battery systems to enhance performance, and setting up battery testing protocols to optimise functionality as directed by the PI. Additionally, the appointee will assist in drafting research reports and publications. This role is available on either a full-time or part-time basis, depending on project requirements and appointee’s availability.
Requirements:
Applicants should have a recognised degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, Energy Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related disciplines; or equivalent level of study.
He/she should have research experience in both organic chemistry and electrochemical testing expertise. Preference will be given to those who have experience in organic syntheses, structural characterization (NMR, SEM, TEM, XPS, XRD, RAMAN, FTIR, etc), coin cell assembly, performance evaluation in rechargeable batteries (LIBs, Zinc-ion, etc) and data analysis skills. He/she should have a good command of English and Chinese (Both Cantonese and Putonghua).
Notes:
(1) The appointee may be required to perform duties at different sites and work irregular hours, shifts and on Saturdays and Sundays as necessary.
(2) The remuneration package will be competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
(3) The appointee will work at the Tsing Yi Campus.
