TITLE :

Accounting Supervisor

Finance Office

Major Duties:

(a) To supervise executive assistants in carrying out daily accounting operations;
(b) To perform financial accounting and analysis duties, including accounts closing, preparation of audit schedules, and accounting for accounts receivable and payable;
(c) To perform budget vetting, control, and monitoring;
(d) To prepare financial reports for various projects and schemes;
(e) To provide business advisory services to operational units;
(f) To prepare annual budget and maintain registers;
(g) To review project proposals and external grant applications; and
(h) To perform other ad hoc tasks as assigned.

Requirements:

(a)  (i)   Level 2 or above in 5 subjects, including English Language*, Chinese Language and Mathematics, in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE) Examination, or equivalent^; OR
(ii)  Level 2 / Grade E or above in 5 subjects including English Language (Syllabus B)*, Chinese Language and Mathematics in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE); OR
(iii) Diploma of Applied Education + Maths Plus / Diploma Yi Jin + Mathematics / Project Yi Jin; OR
(iv) A recognised Certificate / Diploma / Foundation Diploma / Foundation Certificate / Diploma of Foundation Studies; OR
(v)  A recognised Associate Degree / Higher Diploma or above.
*     Completion of Hong Kong Vocational English Programme (HKVEP) at Level 2 / Passing 5 specific VTC’s Vocational English Module Certificates is considered an alternative qualification.
^    “Attained” in Applied Learning subjects (subject to a maximum of two Applied Learning subjects), and Grade E in Other Language subjects in HKDSE Examination are accepted as equivalent to Level 2 in the New Senior Secondary subjects.
(b) At least 3 years’ relevant work experience in the capacity of Executive Assistant (or equivalent);
(c)High proficiency in the use of computer software applications, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Chinese word processing;
(d) Flexible, polite, detail-oriented, organised, proactive, and with the ability to multi-task and work independently, as well as to be a good team player;
(e) Able to appropriately handle confidential information and materials;
(f) Good communication and interpersonal skills; and
(g) Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese.

Notes:

(1) The post is at the rank of Executive Assistant I.
(2) The appointee may be required to perform duties at different sites and work irregular hours, shifts and/or on Saturdays and Sundays as necessary.
(3) The remuneration package will be competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
(4) The appointee will work at the Chai Wan campus.
