TITLE :

Lecturer II (Music Technology) (Ref.: O/THEi-DDIT/LII(MT)/08/25)

Major Duties:

The appointee shall report to the Programme Leader and Head of Department and engage in teaching and related learning activities, developing programme curriculum and teaching, learning, and assessment materials, support students in their learning, participate in academic and scholarly activities of the Department, and undertake academic and administrative support services of the Music Technology Programme. He/she is also expected to engage in ongoing professional development and research in Music Technology, contributing to departmental initiatives and projects as needed.

Requirements:

The successful candidate should have a recognised Master’s degree, preferably a Doctoral degree, in Music Technology or a related field; preferably with relevant teaching experience at tertiary level and/or professional experience in music technology fields. Candidate should also have proficiency in music production software and technology, as well as knowledge of current industry practices and trends in music technology.

The candidate should have good interpersonal and communication skills; and high proficiency in English and Chinese, including Putonghua. He/she should also fulfil one of the following criteria:

(i) Mother tongue / language is Putonghua; or
(ii) Received a recognised bachelor’s degree or above of which the Medium of Instruction (MOI) was Putonghua; or
(iii) At least 3 years’ work experience in Mainland China or other Putonghua speaking countries or regions; or
(iv) Achieved at least Grade 2 Level B in the Putonghua Shuiping Ceshi (PSC) – Putonghua Proficiency Test administered by the State Commission on Language Work.

備註:

(1) The post is at the rank of Teaching Fellow II.
(2) The appointee(s) may be required to perform duties at different sites and work irregular hours, shifts and on Saturdays and Sundays as necessary.
(3) The remuneration package will be competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
(4) The appointee(s) will work at the Chai Wan Campus.
