Major Duties:
The research will study the incorporation of Hong Kong’s unique urban and rural landscapes into comics and animations as strong setting and how that can act as a soft way of promoting Hong Kong’s tourism, especially in light of the HKSAR Government’s proposal for in-depth and cultural tourism in all locales, and also the prospect of using these comic and animation IPs for the promotion and graphic themes for mega-events.
The appointee will assist the Principal Investigator (PI) in a variety of research duties, including but not limited to literature review, data collection, data analysis, and report writing with text and graphics.
Requirements:
Applicants should possess a recognised Master’s degree in 2D/3D/Computer Graphic Animation, Computer Programming with Generative AI knowledge, Landscape Architecture, or a related discipline, or a recognised Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline with relevant work experience.
He/she should also:
· have experience in using graphics software, including but not limited to Adobe Creative Suite, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Enscape;
· possess knowledge in environmental development;
· have a good command of spoken and written English and Chinese, with fluency in Putonghua being an advantage; and
· be a fast learner, able to work independently with a strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail.
Notes:
(1) The appointee may be required to perform duties at different sites and work irregular hours, shifts, and on Saturdays and Sundays as necessary.
(2) The remuneration package will be competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
(3) The appointee will work at the Chai Wan Campus.
