In the 2024 round of funding exercise for the Research Grant Council’s (RGC) Competitive Research Funding Schemes for the Local Self-financing Degree Sector, THEi successfully obtained 5 Faculty Development Scheme (FDS) awards, amounting to a total of HK$4.85M. There were no applications submitted for Inter-Institutional Development Scheme (IIDS) and Institutional Development Scheme Collaborative Research Grant (IDS CRG) in this round.
According to the RGC, there were 356 FDS applications from the local self-financing degree sector this year. 以上 sector-wide application success rates of FDS was 27%, whereas those of THEi was 50%. This is very encouraging, great work!
