評審局大會代表團參觀THEi高科院柴灣校園 （2024年10月3日，香港）香港學術及職業資歷評審局（評審局）早前前往香港高等教育科技學院（THEi高科院）進行參觀，就香港在職業專才教育（VPET）的狀況、應用科學學位課程的最新發展、校企合作的模式，以及策略心得等進行交流及探討。 THEi高科院校長劉建德教授、副校長（學術）曾偉基教授、副校長（行政及企劃）李德文先生於9月25日（星期三）歡迎並接待由評審局總幹事周慶邦先生率領、一行12人的評審局大會代表團，參觀THEi高科院柴灣校園並了解院校的最新發展。本次參訪團由一連串的課程參觀和交流行程揭開序幕，旨在讓代表團了解香港現時在VPET的發展成果，以及交流意見。代表團成員包括評審局４位非本地大會成員及2位評審局本地大會成員。 代表團對學生融會所學 轉化創意感驚喜 THEi高科院專注7大學術領域發展，代表團先後聽取時裝設計、產品設計、運動及康樂管理、園藝樹藝及園境管理、園境建築等多個課程的最新發展，並參觀及細味各課程學生的「得意之作」。展品都是透過學生攜手企業單位合作研發，不只體現了「產、學、研」成果，更讓代表團深切了解到THEi高科院是一所具創新與前瞻性的專上院校。 代表團成員均樂見高科院在職業專才教育方面發展的決心，以及THEi高科院靈活的課程設計，如何糅合實際應用與理論知識。此等設計可讓學生融會貫通所學，啟廸創意以發揮所長。 課程實際應用與理論糅合 ENQA主席：這正是當下專上教育應有的發展 評審局大會非本地成員之一，歐洲高等教育品質保證協會（ENQA）主席Mr. Douglas Blackstock 表示：「與多數追求學術評級的傳統大學不同，THEi高科院推出迎合市場發展需要的多元課程，配合應用科學為本的教學方式及著重實際應用，學生求學時就有機會藉校企合作計劃，及早掌握職場專業技術及知識，這正正應是當下應用科學院校應有的發展方向。」 評審局總幹事：對THEi高科院成果感鼓舞 席間，評審局總幹事周慶邦先生對THEi高科院在推動應用科學課程發展及實際成果感到鼓舞，一方面兼顧學術知識及專業技術傳承，同時亦能培育學生創新思維並轉化為落地項目。 校長劉建德教授：THEi高科院提供與時並進的學術及職業專才教育 THEi高科院校長劉建德教授歡迎評審局代表團親蒞THEi高科院參觀，「未來將積極透過與業界緊密合作和拓展國際網絡，提供與時並進且優質的學術及職業專才教育，致力培育工作就緒的行業菁英。」
