Major Duties:
The appointee shall engage in teaching and related learning activities, support students in their learning, participate in academic and scholarly activities of the Department, and undertake academic and administrative support services and its related activities outside Hong Kong.
The appointee will need to fulfill teaching duties, including but not limited to, the preparation of teaching materials, development and marking of assessment items, and the delivery of lectures and tutorials. He/She should be able to teach one or more of the following modules:

- Contemporary Therapeutic Exercise & Science for Sports Therapy
- Functional Anatomy & Human Movement
- Fundamental Recognition, Assessment & Management of Sports Injuries

- Introduction to Professional Clinical Practice
- Manual Therapy for Sports Therapists
- Motor Learning & Control for Human Performance
- Pitchside Emergency & Trauma Management
- Professional Practice & Clinical Leadership in Sports Therapy
- Recognition & Evaluation of Sports Injuries
- Rehabilitation & Exercise Training for People with Special Needs
- Rehabilitation of Sports Injuries
- Research Methods & Biostatistics
- Smart Technology in Measurement & Analysis
- Spinal Musculoskeletal Assessment & Management
- Sports Massage & Stretching
- Strength & Conditioning for Sports Performance
Requirements:
The successful candidate should have a recognised Master’s degree, preferably a Doctoral degree, in Physiotherapy, Sports Physiotherapy, Sports Therapy, Strength and Conditioning, or a related discipline. He/she should have at least 4 years of teaching experience at the tertiary level and/or experience in professional practice in related fields. He/she should also possess a high level of proficiency in English and preferably in Chinese, including Putonghua.
He/She should be a registered physiotherapist or sports therapist, or have the potential for registration with the Physiotherapists Board of Hong Kong, or be a sports therapist registered with the Society of Sports Therapists in the UK. Candidates who possess dual professional qualifications (i.e. Sports Therapy and Physiotherapy, pr Sports Therapy and Strength & Conditioning) and experience in on-field or team therapy support, or who are members of an emergency medical team with experience supporting international events/tournaments, will have an advantage.
Notes:
(1) The appointee may be required to perform duties at different locations and outside Hong Kong, and to work irregular hours, shifts, and on weekends, as necessary.
(2) The remuneration package will be competitive and commensurate with the appointee’s qualifications and experience.
(3) The appointee will work at the Chai Wan Campus and/or nearby teaching premises.
