THEi received research grant awards totalling HK$4.51 million from the Research Grants Council

In the 2025 round of funding exercise for the Research Grants Council (RGC) funding exercise for the Competitive Research Funding Schemes for the Local Self-financing Degree Sector, THEi was awarded five Faculty Development Scheme (FDS) grants, amounting to a total of HK$4.51 million.  In this round, no Institutional Development Scheme Research Infrastructure Grant (IDS(R)) or IDS Collaborative Research Grant (IDS(C)) was awarded by the RGC.

This year, the RGC received 416 FDS applications from institutions across the local self-financing degree sector.  THEi achieved a commendable success rate of 31% for FDS applications, compared to 28% for the sector.  This achievement is a strong reflection of the high-quality and competitiveness of our research proposals.

We would like to take this opportunity to congratulate the successful project teams for their outstanding efforts and commitment.
