Prof Chan holds a Master Degree in Business Administration, he also has professional qualifications such as International Registered Wealth Manager and Registered Private Wealth Manager, Chartered Secretary, Corporate Governance Professional and Certified Social Specialist in ESG and Certificate of ESG Reporting.
Prof Chan has served senior management positions in local and multinational financial institutions in past decades specializing in private wealth management and succession planning, corporate finance, ECM and DCM, trade finance, equipment leasing, commercial and retail banking, corporate finance and credit risk management. Prof Chan is also a licensed estate agent in Hong Kong.
Prof Chan is the co-founder of HLC Services Limited and currently the Managing Director, businesses include asset and wealth management, corporate strategy advisory, private and corporate financial planning, estate agents, etc.
Prior to joining HLC Services, Prof Chan was the Managing Director of EFG Bank, Director of BNP Paribas, Vice President of Credit Suisse AG, Director of UBS AG, Senior Vice President of Fubon Bank, an Executive Director and Alternative Chief Executive of Fubon Credit (Hong Kong) and Fubon Leasing (China), Head of China Department and legal representative and Branch Manager of Shenzhen branch of Asia Commercial Bank.
Prof Chan is also Director of the Board of Wa Ying College Hong Kong Alumni Associations Limited. School Manager of The IMC of Wa Ying College. He is also the executive member and treasurer of the Greater China Financial Professionals Association, member of The Hong Kong Chi Tung Association Ltd., Vice President of the Doctors Think Tank Metaverse Society, member of Hong Kong Digital Assets Society, Member of Hong Kong Securities and Investment Institute and member of their Education and Development Committee. Prof Chan also worked for HKUSPACE as the member of the Programme Validation Panel on FinTech for couple of years.
