About the Centre:
The Integrated Digital Science and Sports Management Centre (IDSSMC) was established in 2026 as Hong Kong’s first innovation hub integrating AI, Data Science, and Sports Science. The Centre is equipped with over 50 AI-powered fitness test modules, covering motion capture, real-time exercise performance measurement, exercise dashboard and rehabilitation analytics. IDSSMC has successfully engaged more than 70 schools, accumulating over 120,000 exercise records, and has built a commercial-community-school (商、社、校) ecosystem.
Major Duties:
(a) Lead the strategic planning, development, and daily operations of IDSSMC as an “Innovation Share Hub” and “AI Applied Research Centre”;
(b) Drive funding acquisition and manage applied research projects, including QEF, ITF, Seed Grants, Matching Grants, and Applied Research Matching Grants with industry partners;
(c) Foster and expand partnerships with schools, sports associations, industry partners, and government bodies;
(d) Oversee flagship programmes including the “STEAM in PE Design Competition”, AI Sports Festival, and industry partnership projects;
(e) Manage the Centre’s budget, team, and stakeholder relationships;
(f) Represent IDSSMC at conferences, industry visits, and media engagements; and
(g) Showcase student learning outcomes through centre activities such as competitions, pitching events, ceremonies, and workshops.
Requirements:
(a) A recognised Master’s degree, preferably a Doctoral degree, in Sports Science, Sports Management, Business Administration or a related field;
(b) At least 7 years of relevant work experience at the appropriate levels of responsibility;
(c) A proven track record in establishing AI sports facilities and leading STEAM and AI in Physical Education initiatives;
(d) A proven track record in securing research funding and grants, as well as corporate sponsorships and donations;
(e) Possession of a strong network with Hong Kong’s sports sector, including schools, sports associations, government bodies and industry partners;
(f) Experience in establishing and managing MoUs;
(g) Proven experience in launching flagship community events and major events at premier venues such as Kai Tak Sports Park for more than 70 schools, together with strong marketing and media relation skills; and
(h) An excellent command of English and Chinese, preferably including Putonghua.
Notes:
(1) The post is at the rank of “Manager”.
(2) The appointee may be required to perform duties at different locations, including outside Hong Kong, and to work irregular hours, shifts, and weekends, as necessary.
(3) The remuneration package will be competitive and commensurate with the appointee’s qualifications and experience.
(4) The appointee will work at the Chai Wan Campus and/or nearby teaching premises.
