Restaurant & Bar Hong Kong is one of the leading fine dining and bar exhibitions in Asia-Pacific held in Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre. In order to obtain update information of catering industry development, technology, and trends, Ms. Nicole Wong brought a group of nine year 1 students who are studying Food & Beverage Operations, under Hotel Operations Management, to participate in this huge industrial event in September. Since this event’s position focusing on the top-quality food service and the bar market, students had a great opportunities to gain the most first-hand information from the exhibitor directly.

 

Apart from visiting more than 200 exhibitors’ booths, students had a chance to taste different high quality and trendy food & beverages, such as molecule dishes, cocktails made by energy beverages and liquor, and different ethnical cuisines. Attend different educational seminars, like wine tasting and cooking demo, is also one of the aim of this visit. After the event, students also shared their learning experiences with other classmates in the lecture.
