Graduating from THEi has given me the knowledge, skill set, experience and opportunity

I am currently studying my Doctor of Physiotherapy programme (DPT) at Macquarie University in Sydney, Australia. This DPT course is highly focused on developing a patient-centered well rounded clinician in me through integrating academic and placement units. Graduating from THEi has given me the knowledge, skill set, experience and opportunity to be one of the 94 competitive applicants (from 434 worldwide applications). For this I am forever thankful.

I am so grateful to be part of the big THEi family.

I had a great time during my four years at THEi! Here I got many opportunities to enrich myself. The teachers helped me to arrange a 3-month internship in a large BSE firm, where my technical knowledge and practical skills were highly utilised and developed. I also had much fun in the Singapore study tour, during which I got to make many new engineering friends. I am so grateful to be part of the big THEi family.

THEi has helped me to develop my professional career and to build up my confidence and values.

Thanks to my four years of study at THEi, I built a solid foundation in theoretical knowledge and technical skills. Lecturers always inspired us to think critically, and they organised local and overseas food industrial visit for enriching our learning with practical experiences. I joined the summer internship in ALS Technichem (HK) Pty Limited and gained fruitful experiences in conducting food testing. To pursue my further study, I will take the postgraduate degree programme “MSc in Food Safety and Toxicology” in Hong Kong University.

We see that students from THEi are with hands on, practical technical knowledge and skills

This programme provides me with a lot of fundamental and advanced knowledge in the Testing and Certification field. It also offers students many opportunities to practise what we have learnt. Last summer, I worked as a laboratory assistant at ALS Technichem (HK) Pty limited. I was responsible for doing sample preparations of various analytical samples such as water and foods. This internship experience not only enhanced my study life but also broadened my horizons. Working in the commercial laboratory gave me a glimpse of the actual operation in the industry. I strongly believe that my employability was greatly enhanced as a result of the internship programme.

The theoretical and practical knowledge I gained from THEi is still helping me adapt faster in the ever-changing health industry.

I work for Celki Medical Company as Home Health Care Technician after graduating from the Health Care programme. Currently, I am responsible for handling customer enquires related to oxygen concentrators, ventilators, as well as analysing customers’ sleep report. The theoretical and practical knowledge I gained from THEi is still helping me adapt faster in the ever-changing health industry.

Working with consultants and interns around the world gained insights into industry development.

I joined URS Corporation, a Fortune 500 professional consultant company, and Atkins as an intern. I received on-the-job training by conducting energy audit as well as environmental and structural testing.

Working with senior consultants and exchanging information with interns around the world, I also gained better insights into the global development trends of the industry.

Invaluable internship experience helped me land my dream job.

As an intern in an engineering firm under the listed group, Build King Holdings, I was involved in the environmental management works of the Express Rail Link. I learned a lot from my senior and had access to advanced environmental technologies. After graduation, I joined the same company, moving one step closer to my dream of becoming a chartered environmental engineer!

I have worked in Chun Wo Building Construction Limited and Sanfield (Management) Limited during my study and engaged in site formation work of residential units. The practical training enhanced my understanding of the proper work processes. Upon my graduation, I was hired by the Government as Structural Engineering Graduate, heading my way to become a professional engineer.
