In conjunction with the rising demand for innovative technology in particular the application of Building Information Modelling (BIM) in the real estate and construction industry, the Construction Industry Council (CIC) organized the first BIM Competition 2019 which included a Tertiary Student Category. Two THEi teams out of a total of nine teams from different tertiary institutions were successfully selected for the 2^nd round two-day competition on 15 and 16 June 2019 to design the Digital Design & Construction Centre (DDCC) for the CIC. The two teams, comprising students from the programmes of Surveying, Civil Engineering, Building Services Engineering and Environmental Engineering and Management, achieved the “Certificate of Merit”.
