Hugo SINCE, a Year 1 student in Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Public Relations and Management (PRM), is working as an intern at The Murray, Hong Kong this summer. Serving as a Concierge Intern at the City Insider (Concierge) Department, he provides dinning and shopping tips to guests and handles requests on transportation arrangements. Being a multi-lingual speaker of Cantonese, Mandarin, English and French, he can practise the communications theories he has learned at school in real life and his excellent language skills have amazed many guests, offering them a feeling of homecoming.

Developed by the Wharf Group, The Murray, Hong Kong is one of the newest iconic landmarks in the city. The award-winning building was completed in 1969 and was refurbished by the same architect, Sir Norman FOSTER’s team at Foster+Partners, into a five-star hotel while preserving its energy efficient design.

Hugo commented, “This is a fruitful experience and I have learned how to greet and communicate with guests in a polite and professional manner. I am sure this work experience is an entry pathway for me to join the public relations team of a luxury brand for my future career.”
