Sports and Recreation Management (SRM) Student Provides Professional Volunteer Support to Local Fundraising Running Event “Race for Water 2016” organized by a Drop of Life

From fitness training preparation workshops to event day operational support, SRM students actively engaged themselves in “Race for Water 2016” event organized by local non-profit making organization, a Drop of Life.

 

Through the event, senior SRM students gained valuable experience by assisting organizer in fitness training workshops and conducting fitness assessments to participants of the event. A group of year 2 students also gain valuable frontline volunteer experience as part of their module learning experience in Volunteer Management module.

On 13 March 2016, 4,000 runners completed the race successfully, professional volunteer support from SRM students were highly appreciated by the organizer and the participants.
