THEi - University of Coimbra MOU advances collaboration on academic exchanges and programme recognition

The Faculty of Management and Hospitality of the Technological and Higher Education Institute of Hong Kong (THEi) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Faculty of Sport Sciences and Physical Education of University of Coimbra (UC). The MOU sets the directions on articulation opportunities, student and staff exchanges, recognition of modules between programmes, research and industry internships to upgrade the training in sports and recreation professionals and managerial capabilities.

 

Professor David LIM, President of THEi and Professor Antonio Figueiredo, Director of the Faculty of Sport Sciences and Physical Education, UC signed the MOU. The collaboration pursues opportunities for student exchange and articulation.  Students completed studies at the partnering institutes are recognized and THEi’s graduates can articulate to relevant master programmes provided by the Faculty of Sport Sciences and Physical Education of UC.

 

UC was founded in 1290 and is one of the oldest universities in Europe. UC has 8 Faculties encompassing Arts and Humanities, Law, Medicine, Sciences and Technology, Pharmacy, Economics, Psychology and Education Sciences and Sport Sciences and Physical Education. It has a student population of over 25,000 in over 60 study programmes and also provides part-time and continuing education programmes.
