Major Duties:
The appointee shall report to the Programme Leader and Head of Department and engage in the delivery of lectures, tutorials, experiments and supervising student work for the Department. The appointee shall also develop programme curriculum and teaching, learning and assessment materials, support students in their learning, participate in academic and scholarly activities of the Department, and provide academic and administrative support to sustain the daily operation of the programme and the HKAR-147 training organisation.
Requirements:
The successful candidate should have a recognised Master’s degree, preferably a doctoral degree, in Aircraft Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace/Aeronautical Engineering, Electronics/Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, Aviation Management, Business Administration, or related fields, with at least 4 years of teaching experience at tertiary level and/or experience in professional practice in the relevant aviation fields. Experience in operating HKAR-145/147 or managing airline/cargo operations would be an advantage.
He/she should have good interpersonal and communication skills, high proficiency in English and Chinese, preferably including Putonghua. Proven records of linkage with industry or professional bodies would be an advantage.
Preference will be given to candidates with advanced knowledge or work experience in aircraft maintenance practices, aircraft electrical theories, aerodynamics (fluid and gas dynamics), aircraft system design and maintenance, aircraft structural design, solid mechanics, composite repair, propeller design and maintenance, airline operations and management, aircraft certification (HKAR-21) and/or HKAR-145/147 operation, as well as membership of professional institutions such as the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers and/or experience in conducting HKAR-66 license training and/or HKAR-66 license holder and/or HKAR-147 approved practical/knowledge instructor.

(1) The appointee may be required to perform duties at different sites and work irregular hours, shifts and on Saturdays and Sundays as necessary.
(2) The remuneration package will be competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
(3) The appointee(s) will work at the Tsing Yi Campus.
