Major Duties:
The appointee is expected to provide strong academic leadership by contributing to the planning, development, implementation, and periodic review of the academic programmes under the Department of Food and Health Sciences. This will include leading the formulation of learning and teaching strategies; the curriculum development of programme modules for the academic programmes in the Department; and research activities and industry collaboration in the field of Healthcare Management and Advanced Technology.
The appointee will also take part in teaching, supervising student work, delivering quality programmes, and leading and participating in scholarly activities, including but not limited to advancing research, consultancy, networking, and collaboration with industry partners to promote the Institute and the programmes. The appointee will also be expected to maintain close liaison with industry, commerce, and other educational institutions on interdisciplinary collaborative arrangements at the intersection of healthcare systems and emerging technologies.
Requirements:
The successful candidate should have a recognised Doctoral degree in Healthcare Management, Health Informatics, Medical Technology, Biomedical Engineering, Public Health, or a related discipline, with strong and relevant teaching experience at the tertiary level; proven experience in academic leadership, curriculum development, research and scholarly activities, and have work experience in professional practice in the relevant fields. The candidate should have good interpersonal and communication skills, and possess a high proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese, including Putonghua. A proven record of linkage with industry or professional bodies would be an advantage.
Notes:
(1) The appointee may be required to perform duties at different sites and outside Hong Kong, and work irregular hours, shifts, and on Saturdays and Sundays as necessary.
(2) The remuneration package will be competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
(3) The appointee will work at the Chai Wan Campus.
