Industry Collaborations

The BSocSc (Hons) Sports and Recreation Management (SRM) programme at The Technological and Higher Education Institute of Hong Kong (THEi) is the first degree programme in Hong Kong to meet the criteria of the National Strength and Conditioning Associations (NSCA) Education Recognition Program (ERP).  Under this recognition, SRM students of the Sports Coaching specialisation are suitably prepared to develop the required knowledge and skills to undertake the NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) certification.  This will help students develop professionally and maximise employment opportunities in the area of strength and conditioning and associated disciplines.

About the NSCA & NSCA Education Recognition Program:
Since its foundation in 1978, the NSCA community is composed of more than 60,000 members and certified professionals throughout the world who further industry standards as researchers, educators, strength and conditioning coaches, performance and sports scientists, personal trainers, tactical professionals, and other related roles.  The NSCA Education Recognition Program (ERP) recognizes regionally accredited academic institutions for their educational programs that have met, and continue to meet, educational guidelines recommended by the NSCA.  ERP recognitions are good for three years and schools are eligible for renewal following these three years. Click here for more details.
