An industrial visit to HKTVmall was arranged by Dr Irene SZETO for students of Retail Management on 10 April 2019.  The visit enabled students observe the operation of the novel robotic pick and pack system imported from Germany this year.

THEi is the 1st higher education institute in Hong Kong to be invited to HKTVmall’s new logistics hub.  The visit facilitates students currently studying in the Global Supply Chain Management module to visualize the content of their study in real life.  While students experienced the company’s efficient management and operation when touring around, they were also impressed by its new business model and state-of-the-art supply chain technologies.  This collaboration opportunity helped to highlight the latest development in the retail industry.  Students are pleased with the practicality of the study programme.
