THEi signs MOU with UK Sheffield Hallam University to advance exchanges

The Technological and Higher Education Institute of Hong Kong (THEi) signed a Memorandum of Collaboration with UK Sheffield Hallam University today (28 October) to advance student exchanges and academic development. More so the feasibility of launching a double bachelor degree programme will be explored to equip students with the capacity for a global career.
The Memorandum was signed by THEi President Professor David LIM and Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Sheffield Hallam University Professor Liz BARNES providing for mutual student exchanges and recognition of credits as well as opportunities for reciprocal student attachment in local enterprises. The two institutions will also explore the possibility of offering double bachelor degree programmes. Both parties will join hands to promote academic development and exchanges in the areas of engineering, applied sciences, environmental design and management.
Boasting a long history, Sheffield Hallam University provides some 700 undergraduate and postgraduate programmes for a student population of more than 33,000 in the areas of social policies, computing, engineering, science, health, pharmaceutical studies and business management.
The Technological and Higher Education Institute of Hong Kong (THEi) is a member of VTC Group. It offers vocationally-oriented degree programmes across three faculties: Design and Environment, Management and Hospitality, and Science and Technology. The programmes are offered in areas where the VTC has strengths, and which are also growth industries not only in Hong Kong but also across the region.
