Student Visa and Insurance

Student Visa

All international students require a visa/entry permit to study in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) unless he/she has the right of abode or right to land in the city.

The Mainland and International Affairs Office (MIAO) will assist with your student visa application after you have accepted an offer to study at THEi. It normally takes around 6-8 weeks for the Hong Kong Immigration Department to process the visa application upon receipt of all required documents.

Insurance

Every non-local student admitted (except Exchange Programme students) will be insured under a basic health, accident and repatriation insurance. For more details, please refer to the the MIAO’s website. Students may also purchase additional insurance at their own expense for a larger amount of insurance coverage at their discretion.

Should you have any enquiries regarding student visa or insurance, please contact the MIAO.
