Major Duties:
(a) To assist in formulating and executing administrative policies and procedures related to the full spectrum of campus operations and facilities management for the three campuses located in Chai Wan, Tsing Yi and Taikoo;
(b) To lead a work team responsible for campus maintenance, alteration and addition works, renovation works, repairing works, property management, and for promoting energy efficiency, occupational safety and health, and environmental sustainability;
(c) To plan and execute work orders for building facilities and services, including security services, cleaning and hygiene services, catering services, venue/facilities booking, access control and carpark management;
(d) To supervise and monitor the performance of contractors and service providers; and
(e) To prepare work plans / maintenance schedules and conduct inspections and investigations of facilities, including classrooms, the multi-purpose hall, conference rooms, canteens, etc., with a view to continuous improvement of the campus environment to support teaching and learning, as well as events and functions.
Requirements:
(a) A recognised degree in Building Surveying, Building Services Engineering, Civil and Structural Engineering, or related fields;
(b) At least 2 years’ relevant work experience, preferably in renovation works, building or facilities management, building maintenance works, supervision and inspection, and/or administration of building contracts;
(c) Have strong technical skills, analytical mindset, proven management capability, sense of ownership, self-initiative in driving for excellence, and skills of stakeholder management and problem-solving;
(d) High proficiency in computer software application, including MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and AutoCAD; and
(e) High level of proficiency in both English and Chinese.
Notes:
(1) The post is at the rank of “Officer”.
(2) The appointee may be required to perform duties at different sites and outside Hong Kong, and work irregular hours, shifts, and on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays as necessary.
(3) The remuneration package will be competitive and commensurate with the appointee’s qualifications and experience.
(4) The appointee will mainly work at the Chai Wan Campus and may be required to provide support at different sites and campuses from time to time, subject to operational needs.
