Major Duties:
The appointee will assist the Principal Investigator (PI) in coordinating and participating in Food Science and/or Chinese Herbal Medicine workshops and events, collecting data, conducting literature reviews and/or surveys, performing experiments, analysing data, preparing technical reports, and undertaking other research duties as assigned by the PI.
Requirements:
For the post of Research Assistant I, applicants should have a recognised Master’s degree in Food Science, Food Safety, Chinese Medicinal Pharmacy, Nutrition and Health Studies, or a related discipline; or a recognised Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline with relevant work experience.
For the post of Research Assistant II, applicants should have a recognised sub-degree in Food Science, Food Safety, Chinese Medicinal Pharmacy, Nutrition and Health Studies, or a related discipline, or an equivalent qualification.
Applicants should have a good command of spoken and written English and Chinese, preferably including Putonghua. He/She should also possess good administrative, organisational, interpersonal and communication skills, as well as a strong sense of responsibility, good work initiative, and the ability to work independently.
Notes:
(1) The appointee may be required to perform duties at different sites and work irregular hours, shifts, and on Saturdays and Sundays as necessary.
(2) The remuneration package will be competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
(3) The appointee will work at the Chai Wan Campus.
