TITLE :

Part-time Project Officer

Department of Sport and Recreation

Major Duties:

The appointee will be responsible for assisting in the Research Project “Assessing the Efficacy of Digital Fitness Platform on Students’ Fitness Tests in Primary Schools”, as well as supporting the department’s overall research grants.

His/her major duties include:

  • Assisting in funding acquisition and administration of applied research projects, including liaison and documentation for matching grants and other research funding schemes;
  • Managing the operation, calibration, and maintenance of digital fitness equipment across testing sites; and
  • Supervising data collection, analysis, and reporting process, and acting as the lead officer in working with local schools and industry partners.

Requirements:

(a) A recognised Master’s degree or above in Sports Science, Sports Management, Business Management, Computer Science, or a related discipline;
(b) Experience in managing research funding budgets and implementing funding proposals is preferred;
(c) At least 4 years’ work experience in project management;
(d) Proven experience in conducting fitness tests, or empirical studies or performing data collection and analysis activities;
(e) Proven experience in supervising and organising smart sports events or fitness admission tests; and
(f) Previous experience working with schools or sports organisations, or training schools is preferred.

Notes:

(1) The post is at the rank of “Part-time Lecturer”.
(2) The appointee may be required to perform duties at different locations, and work irregular hours and weekends, as necessary.
(2) The remuneration package will be competitive and commensurate with the appointee’s qualifications and experience.
(3) The appointee will work at the Chai Wan Campus and/or nearby teaching premises.
