Language Laboratories
The language laboratories serve the academic language learning needs of students. The language laboratories are equipped with state of the art language training systems, DVD players, visualisers, LCD projectors, etc. The specially designed setting of the laboratories facilitates a number of activities, including whole-class listening comprehension, small-group discussion and individual pronunciation error analysis. The multifaceted nature of the language laboratories enables instructors to design highly interactive learning tasks intended to add value to students’ learning experiences at THEi.
Language laboratories facilities are available on 10/F(North Block) at Chai Wan Campus and 9/F at Tsing Yi Campus.
BioScience Laboratories
Biosciences Laboratory offers opportunities for scientific inquiry-based learning and fosters collaborative experiences for students. Biosciences Laboratory is equipped with essential tools, including biosafety and chemical cabinets, light microscopes, plant growth chamber, incubators, centrifuges, spectrophotometers, thermal cyclers for PCR, etc. These instruments allow students to actively participate in molecular experiments and gain valuable insights into the relevance of biosciences in addressing real world challenges. The diverse capabilities of the Biosciences Laboratory empower instructors to create engaging, hands-on experiments that enrich students’ understanding and application of biological sciences.
