TITLE :

Senior Lecturer / Lecturer (Chinese Medicinal Pharmacy) (Ref.: O/THEi-DFHS/SL_L(CMP)/11/25)

Department of Food and Health Sciences

Major Duties:

The appointee shall report to the Programme Leader and Head of Department and engage in teaching and related learning activities, developing programme curriculum, teaching & learning, and assessment materials.  He/she shall also support students in their learning, participate in academic and scholarly activities and supervise students’ project, and provide academic and administrative support services for the Chinese Medicinal Pharmacy programme.

Requirements:

The successful candidate should have a recognised Master’s degree, preferably a doctoral degree, in Chinese Medicinal Pharmacy or a related discipline, with at least 3 years of teaching experience at the tertiary level or relevant working experience (those with less experience will be considered for the post of Lecturer).  The candidate should have good professional standing with strong industry networks, achievements in professional practice and applied research activities.

He/she should also have:
(a) good administrative, organisational, interpersonal and communication skills;
(b) good command of English and Chinese (including Putonghua and Cantonese);
(c) a strong sense of responsibility; and
(d) good work initiative and the ability to work effectively.

Notes:

(1) The post is at the rank of Teaching Fellow I/II. 
(2) The appointee may be required to perform duties at different sites and outside Hong Kong, and work irregular hours, shifts and on Saturdays and Sundays as necessary.
(3) The remuneration package will be competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
(4) The appointee will work at the Chai Wan Campus.
