Student Visa and Insurance
Student Visa
All international students require a visa/entry permit to study in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) unless he/she has the right of abode or right to land in the city.
THEi will assist with your student visa application after you have accepted an offer to study at THEi. It normally takes around 6-8 weeks for the Hong Kong Immigration Department to process the visa application upon receipt of all required documents.
Insurance
Every non-local student admitted (except Exchange Programme students) will be insured under a basic health, accident and repatriation insurance. For more details, please refer to the Mainland and International Affair office of the Vocational Training Council (MIAO)’s website. Students may also purchase additional insurance at their own expense for a larger amount of insurance coverage at their discretion.
Should you have any enquiries regarding student visa or insurance, please contact the THEi.

- Student visa/ entry permit
- Visa/ Entry permit under the Immigration Arrangements for Non-local Graduates
- Dependant visa / entry permit (students who were 18 years old or above when they were issued with such visa/ entry permit by the Director of Immigration)
