Major Duties:
The appointee shall report to the Head of the School of General Education and Languages (SGEL) and support the SGEL and the Institute in the following specific responsibilities:
(a) Lead a team of English language academics to collaborate, develop, and deliver impactful educational outcomes;
(b) Oversee curriculum development, ensure quality assurance in teaching delivery, and undertake academic administrative duties;
(c) Develop and review teaching and learning materials / resources and deliver teaching effectively;
(d) Build a disciplined team, foster a collaborative and cooperative work culture;
(e) Manage the English team of Centre for Learning Enhancement under SGEL;
(f) Participate in scholarly activities, including applied research, grant applications, and consultancy service;
(g) Collaborate proactively with industry professionals, professional organisations, and other educational institutions to achieve desired outcomes;
(h) Design and conduct extra-curricular language activities, seminars, conferences, etc; and
(i) Perform any other duties as assigned by the Head of SGEL and senior management of the Institute.
Requirements:
(a) A recognised Doctoral degree in English Language Studies, English Education, Applied Linguistics, TESOL, or relevant disciplines;
(b) Native or native-like proficiency in English;
(c) Strong academic leadership, team and organisational management and communication skills are essential.
(d) Extensive teaching and administration experience at tertiary level, preferably in international or multicultural settings;
(e) Preferably possess strong industry networks, experience in language center involvement, and a track record of internationally recognised research projects.

(3) The appointee may be required to perform duties at different sites and outside Hong Kong, and work irregular hours, shifts and on Saturdays and Sundays as necessary.
(4) The remuneration package will be competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
(5) The appointee will work at the Chai Wan and Tsing Yi campuses.
