Major Duties:
The appointee shall report to the Programme Leader and Head of Department and engage in teaching and related learning activities, developing programme curriculum, teaching & learning, and assessment materials. He/she shall also support students in their learning, participate in academic and scholarly activities, and undertake academic and administrative support services for the Music Technology programme.
Requirements:
The successful candidate should have a recognised Master’s degree in Music Technology or a related field, with at least 4 years of relevant teaching experience at the tertiary level and/or professional experience in music technology or related fields. The candidate should also demonstrate proficiency in music production software and technology, as well as knowledge of current industry practices and trends in music technology.
The candidate should possess good interpersonal and communication skills, and a high proficiency in both English and Chinese, including Putonghua. He/she must also fulfil one of the following language criteria:
- Mother tongue/language is Putonghua; or
- Received a recognised Bachelor’s degree or above for which the Medium of Instruction (MOI) was Putonghua; or
- At least 3 years’ work experience in Chinese Mainland or other Putonghua speaking countries or regions; or
- Attained one of the following qualifications:
i. Grade B, Level 2 or above in the Putonghua Shuiping Ceshi (PSC) – Putonghua Proficiency Test administered by the State Language Commission; or
ii. Level 3 or above in the Language Proficiency Assessment for Teachers (Putonghua) administered by the Hong Kong Examinations and Assessment Authority (HKEAA) or equivalent.
Notes:
(1) The MOI of the Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Music Technology programme is Putonghua.
(2) The appointee may be required to perform duties at different locations and work irregular hours, including Saturdays and Sundays as necessary.
(3) The remuneration package will be competitive and commensurate with the appointee’s qualifications and experience.
(4) The appointee will work at the Chai Wan Campus.
