Programme Aims

This is Development Bureau Recognized Continuing Education in Arboriculture (CEA) Course under the Registration Scheme for Tree Management Personnel (RSTMP).
RSTMP Course Code: A&TRA-FA5-202411-3 
Functional Area: Diagnosis and treatment of pests and diseases.

This course aims to refresh participants’ knowledge on the work plan development for pest and diseases on landscaping plants. It develops participants’ ability to find out work plans for pest and disease control by means of physical and chemical methods. Participants will further learn how to evaluate the effectiveness of pest and disease control operations.

Contents

The following topics will be included:
1. Develop work plans for disease control by means of physical and chemical methods
2. Develop work plans for pest control by means of physical and chemical methods
3. Evaluate the effectiveness of pest and disease control operations

Suitable Participants

Registered Arborists and Tree Risk Assessors under the Registration Scheme for Tree Management Personnel (RSTMP) are the target participants of the Course, which can apply for CEA hours under the key job function covered by the Course, while other Registered tree management personnel under the RSTMP may participate for optional CEA hours.

Attendance Requirement and Assessment

The attendance requirement is 100% (i.e. 3 hours).

Participants are required to achieve 100% attendance and reach the passing mark (70%) in the written assessment.

Certification

Certificate of completion will be issued for those who achieves 100% attendance and pass the written assessment.
