Major Duties:
(a) To provide secretarial and administrative support to the Student Affairs Office;
(b) To assist with the processing of student mobility, student finance, scholarship, and subsidy schemes;
(c) To handle enquiries from internal and external parties, and provide counter services;
(d) To coordinate and communicate with external parties and organization, and various Institute’s departments;
(e) To assist in procurement, document management and the compilation of reports and statistics; and
(f) To provide logistical and on-site support for student activities.
Requirements:
(a) (i) Level 2 or above in 5 subjects, including English Language*, Chinese Language and Mathematics, in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE) Examination, or equivalent^; OR
(ii) Level 2 / Grade E or above in 5 subjects including English Language (Syllabus B)*, Chinese Language and Mathematics in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE); OR
(iii) Diploma of Applied Education + Maths Plus / Diploma Yi Jin + Mathematics / Project Yi Ji; OR
(iv) A recognised Certificate / Diploma / Foundation Diploma / Foundation Certificate / Diploma of Foundation Studies; OR
(v) A recognised Associate Degree / Higher Diploma or above.
* Completion of the Hong Kong Vocational English Programme (HKVEP) at Level 2 / Passing 5 specific VTC’s Vocational English Module Certificates is considered an alternative qualification.
^ “Attained” in Applied Learning subjects (subject to a maximum of two Applied Learning subjects), and Grade E in Other Language subjects in HKDSE Examination are accepted as equivalent to Level 2 in the New Senior Secondary subjects.
(b) Proficiency in the use of computer software applications, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Chinese word processing;
(c) Good communication, interpersonal and organisational skills; and
(d) Ability to work independently, proactively and as a good team player.
(d) Flexible, polite, detail-minded, organised and self-initiated;
Notes:
1. Shortlisted applicants will be required to attend and pass a computer skills test.
2. The appointee may be required to work irregular hours, shifts and/or on Saturdays and Sundays, as necessary.
3. The remuneration package will be competitive and commensurate with the appointee’s qualifications and experience.
4. The appointee will work at the Chai Wan Campus.
