Major Duties:
The appointee shall engage in teaching and related learning activities, support students in their learning, participate in academic and scholarly activities of the Department, and undertake academic and administrative support services.
Requirements:
The successful candidate should have a recognised Master’s degree, preferably a Doctoral degree, in Building Services Engineering or related disciplines. He/She should possess at least 4 years of relevant teaching experience at the tertiary level and/or relevant work experience in the design, operation and management in the building services engineering industry.
He/She should be capable of developing teaching materials and delivering a broad range of Building Services Engineering (BSE) subjects at the tertiary level. These areas include building services systems (e.g. HVAC, electrical, fire services, plumbing and drainage), digital technologies (e.g. BIM, AI and data analytics, building automation), design, professional practice, project management, facility management, and supervision of capstone projects (e.g. conceptual and detailed design).
He/She should have good interpersonal and communication skills, and a high level of proficiency in English and preferably Chinese, including Putonghua. Preference will be given to candidates who hold a membership in professional institutions such as the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers. A proven record of linkage with industry or professional bodies will be an advantage.
Notes:
(1) The appointee may be required to perform duties at different locations and to work irregular hours, including Saturdays and Sundays, as necessary.
(2) The remuneration package will be competitive and commensurate with the appointee’s qualifications and experience.
(3) The appointee will mainly work at the Tsing Yi Campus.
