Major Duties:

The appointee will assist the Principal Investigator (PI) in a variety of research and clinical duties, including but not limited to:

• Conducting comprehensive clinical rehabilitation duties, including patient assessments, design evidence-based interventions, and reviewing medical histories of research participants;
• Assessing, monitoring, and overseeing occupational therapy, daily living skills, and cognitive training programs for research participants and clients;
• Assisting in research-related tasks such as literature reviews, data collection, and data analysis; and
• Providing training and advisory support to staff and stakeholders regarding dementia care and occupational therapy through workshops or courses.

Requirements:

Applicants should possess a recognised Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy or a related discipline; or a recognised Master’s degree in a related discipline with relevant work experience. They should be a Registered Occupational Therapist in Hong Kong, or eligible for professional registration.

They should also:

• Have proven experience in clinical rehabilitation, preferably working with older adults and individuals with dementia.
• Possess knowledge of clinical assessment tools and the ability to design personalised intervention plans.
• Have experience or a strong interest in integrating technology into therapy, such as using digital cognitive training tools, robotics, or assistive devices.
• Be proficient in data management and qualitative analysis.
• Have a good command of spoken and written English and Chinese (both Cantonese and Putonghua); fluency in Putonghua will be a distinct advantage.
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills for teaching and advising staff.
• Be a fast learner, able to work independently with a strong sense of responsibility, and attention to detail in both clinical and research documentation.

Notes:

(1)The appointee may be required to perform duties at different locations, including outside Hong Kong, and to work irregular hours, and weekends, as necessary.
(2) The remuneration package will be competitive and commensurate with the appointee’s qualifications and experience.
(3) The appointee will mainly work at the Chai Wan Campus.
