president's message

Welcome to THEi Student Applied Research Presentations 2025

With THEi’s continuous dedication in promoting applied research, I am delighted to invite you to celebrate our students’ remarkable achievements at the Student Applied Research Presentations (SARP) 2025. This annual event showcases the final year projects of our undergraduates from six academic departments: Construction, Environment and Engineering; Design and Architecture; Digital Innovation and Technology; Food and Health Sciences; Hospitality and Business Management; and Sport and Recreation

I want to take a moment to congratulate all our students on their hard work and efforts throughout their final year project. A total of 78 research posters and 10 video presentations were submitted to SARP2025. The research topics explored the latest advancements in applied science and technology and how they can be applied to solve practical, real-time problems. The enthusiasm for diverse research topics is truly inspiring.

To acknowledge the efforts of our students, a “Best Poster Award” is given to the most outstanding poster from each department. This award is determined by the academic staff of each department based on the scientific merits and innovations presented. Additionally, staff, students, and their family and friends are invited to participate in the Awards Competition by voting for the “Most Popular Poster” and “Most Popular Video Presentation” awards. These awards celebrate students’ commitment to advancing knowledge while demonstrating their rigorous research, critical thinking, and sound research methodologies.

I welcome you to come and view the spectacular works we have to share for SARP2025.
