Sonny Choy graduated from the University of South Australia, Adelaide, with a Bachelor of Design, in Industrial Design. He proceeded to complete a Graduate Diploma in Business Enterprise from the University of Adelaide. In 2016, he received an MBA from the University of Strathclyde. With industrial experience in fields including product, toy, and retail design; he specializes in taking innovative, technological, and socially conscious approaches to design. Sonny Choy’s research interests focus on the cross-over between design and business with an emphasis on exploring creative management and design entrepreneurship in a global context. He is also interested in the deployment of technology in product solutions as well as sustainability. He actively engages Asian business partners to bring about synergies between the education sector and with public/private business sectors and works with NGOs to bring about socially conscious design in Hong Kong.
