Prof LI Tak Man, Edmund has assumed the role of Vice President (Operation and Enterprise) at THEi since 1 September 2023. Prof LI supports the President of THEi in developing, formulating, implementing and monitoring the Institute’s strategies and annual plans of the Professional Administrative Units (PAUs) in line with the Institute Strategic Plan. He also leads and manages strategic functions and operations of the nine PAUs of THEi, namely, the Administration and Facilities Management Office, Finance Office, Human Resources Office, Information Technology Office, Learning Commons (i.e. Library), Quality Assurance and Accreditation Office, Project Office, Registry and Student Affairs Office.

Prior to the commencement of the role of Vice President (Operation and Enterprise) at THEi, Prof LI was the Director of Finance at Hong Kong Baptist University and the Associate Director (Finance) at the University of Hong Kong. Prof LI has over 30 years of executive management experience across public and private sectors, including 14 years in higher education. He has diversified working experience across higher education, commercial, banking, NGO, accounting & professional, and healthcare sectors. Over the past 14 years, he has advanced his career in higher education institutions, overseeing multi-functional administrative and support units. Prof LI has a solid foundation and understanding of the development of the higher education sector in Hong Kong and the region.
