TITLE :

Senior Officer (Quality Assurance & Accreditation)

Quality Assurance and Accreditation Office

Major Duties:

(a) To provide central support to and coordinate with various stakeholders, both internal and external, on matters relating to the learning programme development, internal validation, accreditation and re-accreditation, programme area accreditation and institutional review by accreditation authorities and professional bodies;
(b) To provide secretarial or membership support to quality assurance-related boards/ committees;
(c) To assist in facilitating the preparation of the registers for college registration under the amended Post Secondary Colleges Ordinance;
(d) To support and coordinate with the academic departments and administrative units in effective implementation of quality management measures/training for their learning programmes and operation;
(e) To lead/assist in developing, reviewing and implementing corporate policies in relation to quality assurance and enhancement matters of the Institute; and
(f) To lead/assist in the daily operations of the Office and ensure effective management of resources of the Office.

Requirements:

(a) A recognised degree, preferably a higher degree, in a relevant discipline or relevant professional qualification;
(b) At least 5 years of relevant accreditation and quality assurance experience, preferably at self-financing higher education institutions, as stated in (c) at an appropriate level of responsibility;
(c) Solid experience in learning programme design and development, implementation of quality assurance/enhancement policies, learning programme accreditation and re-accreditation, programme area accreditation, institutional review, student admission, assessment, and reporting of the work areas relevant to the post;
(d) A strong commitment to fostering a quality culture and facilitating quality assurance/enhancement;
(e) A good understanding of the Hong Kong Qualifications Framework and recent developments in local/regional accreditation authorities and accreditation standards;
(f) Experience in liaising and negotiating with officials from accreditation authorities, professional bodies and/or academic/administrative personnel from collaborating institutions on accreditation matters;
(g) Good administrative, interpersonal, communication and team building skills;
(h) The ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines; and
(i) Good presentation skills and a high level of proficiency in both English and Chinese, preferably including Putonghua.

Notes:

(1) The post is at the rank of “Senior Officer”.
(2) Shortlisted applicants will be required to attend and pass a written test.
(3) The appointee may be required to perform duties at different locations and outside Hong Kong, and to work irregular hours, shifts, and on Saturdays and Sundays, as necessary.

(4) The remuneration package will be competitive and commensurate with the appointee’s qualifications and experience.
(5) The appointee will mainly work at the Chai Wan Campus.
