TITLE :

Temporary Senior Research Assistant (Two positions)

Employment Period:

1 – 1.5 months (with the possibility of renewal)


Major Duties:

The appointee will lead and support high-impact research initiatives focusing on catalysis and electrocatalysis, contributing to sustainable communities.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Designing and executing experiments related to electrochemical technologies for energy conversion and storage.
  • Synthesising, characterising, and conducting electrochemical performance evaluations of novel nanostructured electrocatalysts.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams and providing guidance to junior researchers and/or postgraduate students.


Requirements:

The successful candidate should possess a recognised Doctoral degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related discipline; or a recognised Master’s degree in a relevant discipline with relevant work experience.  They should have a proven track record in:

  • Electrochemistry: In-depth knowledge of charge transfer kinetics in electrochemical cells, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS), galvanostatic cycling, and cyclic voltammetry; or
  • Catalysis: Design, synthesis, and characterisation of catalysts for HER/OER and battery/fuel cell technologies; or
  • Nanomaterials: Expertise in the controlled synthesis and functionalisation of nanostructured materials.


Notes:

(1) The appointee may be required to perform duties at different sites and to work irregular hours, shifts, and on Saturdays and Sundays, as necessary.
(2) The remuneration package will be competitive and commensurate with the appointee’s qualifications and experience.
(3) The appointee will work at the Chai Wan and Tsing Yi campuses.
