Begin your journey with us at THEi’s New Student Orientation Day, your doorway to a smooth transition into campus life! The Student Development Office, in collaboration with academic departments, academic support units, and student groups, organises the New Student Orientation Day, which is jam-packed with activities to help you succeed. Freshmen can explore programme details, learning resources, and student services while engaging with teachers, fellow students, and supporting teams in THEi.

- Department of Digital Innovation and Technology (DDIT),
- Department of Food and Health Sciences (DFHS)
- Department of Hospitality and Business Management (DHBM),
- Department of Sport and Recreation (DSR), and
- Horticulture, Arboriculture and Landscape Management (HALM) in the Department of Construction, Environment and Engineering (DCEE)

Department-based Programme Briefing Session
Get an in-depth look at your chosen field of study with our department-based Programme Briefing Session. Meet your Department Heads, Programme Leaders, Lecturers and fellow students; learn about course offerings and requirements; and know more about Work-Integrated Learning (WIL) that will enrich your academic experience.
Schedules of Programme Briefing Sessions will be released in due course.
Student Engagement Activities
Dive into a series of team-building games designed to foster communication, collaboration and build a sense of belonging among new students. The Student Engagement Activities are a wonderful way to network with fellow and senior students and understand the essential skills for your studies.
Student Groups Promotion Booths
Explore the student groups at promotion booths on the New Student Orientation Days. Whether you are keen to join the academic societies and general interest clubs or participate in sports clubs, there is something for everyone.

Arrangements during Adverse Weather Conditions
In times of typhoons, “Extreme Conditions” and rainstorms, Students can refer to Arrangements during Adverse Weather Conditions for further details.
If adverse weather conditions occur, the following activities will be postponed to Friday, 22 August 2025, and conducted via an online platform:
